PRE-NATAL YOGA

For the mother-to-be who is ready to create a nurturing bond between herself and her baby through yoga. Learn ways to ease the physical discomforts that may come with being pregnant, follow the breath into the body to reduce stress and anxiety, learn effective coping skills, all in the nurturing environment of other pregnant mothers-to-be.

 
KUNDALINI YOGA

With Kundalinia Yoga you may experience and feel the immense changes and uplifting qualities that this intentional style of Yoga brings to your life. It’s actions (kriyas), and mantras (chants) and meditations provide awakening, insights, and gentle healing. Lynn Johnson is pleased to have studied this style at 3HO Yoga Center in downtown Kansas City. This challenging yoga utilizes the ancient and powerful tools of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Through the practice, you become one with your breath, your mind, your body and your soul. You quickly discover that self-imposed limits are merely landmarks on a journey towards your highest consciousness. The teachings of Yogi Bhajan supply the knowledge and awareness that deepen life experiences, expand confidence, and enable you to live a more peaceful, strong, centered and stress-free life!

 
ANUSARA INSPIRED YOGA

A wonderful style developed by John Friend. This method of yoga provides a very profound connection to the heart. Anusara also promotes alignment of the bones and muscles of the body, so that the physical body returns to its original template. The spine adjusts into alignment, the muscles tone and support the shape of the body. The energy body shifts, and the chakra system begins to open and breathe more easily. We are very excited to be offering this life-changing style of Yoga in Kansas City.

Beginning Gentle Yoga; Hips and Shoulders: A class which provides greater flexibility and mobility in hips and shoulders. Also an excellent beginner class for seniors.
Mixed Level Anusara Inspired Yoga: Learn the principles and philosophy of Anusara Yoga Designed for the student who has good range of motion, and desires a quicker paced class. Will include vigorous sun salutations and cultivate flexibility, strength and awareness. Suitable for those who have completed two or more Beginning Anusara Inspired Yoga courses and also those who have been studying another style of Hatha Yoga for at least six months.
